The tours at a glance
From a gentle hut round to a summit tour: compare distance, walking time and difficulty, and find the hike that suits you.
-
Serfaus side · flat
The Panoramaweg on the Komperdell
- Distance
- 3.54 km
- Difficulty
- Easy, barely any climbing
- Duration
- 1.5 hours
The path we recommend to guests on their first day. Out of the lift at the top, then almost level along the slope, with the Inntal on one side and the mountains on the other. You find your stride without getting out of breath, and you can turn back at any time.
-
On the plateau · playful
Themed trails for children
- Distance
- 5 – 8 km
- Difficulty
- Easy to medium
- Duration
- 1 – 5 hours
The region has laid out several adventure trails: stations to touch, water to dam, small tasks along the way. Children cover distances they would never walk on an ordinary path. The trick works reliably, even the third time in a week.
-
Summit tour · demanding
The Furgler: our local mountain
- Distance
- 5.19 km
- Difficulty
- Difficult
- Duration
- 4 hours
The Furgler is the summit above Serfaus, and it takes a whole day. The path climbs over alpine pastures into the rock, finally across boulders. Sure-footedness is a must, and so is stamina. At the top you stand and say nothing for a while. Then comes the descent, and it is longer than you think.
-
Komperdell · half day
The loop to the mountain lakes
- Distance
- 5 – 8 km
- Difficulty
- Easy to medium
- Duration
- 1 – 5 hours
A half-day walk that passes several bodies of water: from the reservoir with its level circular path to lakes you can actually swim in. The combination of walking and bathing makes it the most reliable tour in the programme for families.
-
Alpine huts · leisurely
From hut to hut
- Distance
- 1.5 km
- Difficulty
- Easy, circular route
- Duration
- 45 minutes
On the plateau the alpine huts lie so close together that you can walk from one to the next without any strain. Whoever walks here walks for the Jause, the hearty mountain snack. That is a perfectly good reason, and the children are all for it.
-
From Lazid · a whole day
The Schmugglersteig to the Hexensee
- Distance
- 6.3 km
- Difficulty
- Medium
- Duration
- 6 hours
Out of the Lazidbahn at the top, then up towards Hexensee. Boards along the way tell of smuggling across the border, of the kings of that trade and of secret signs. It adds up to 334 metres of ascent, and at the top stands the hut at 2,585 metres. A day you set aside.
Your questions, briefly answered.
- Which hike suits children?
-
Choose according to how much the children enjoy walking and how experienced they are. Themed trails with play stations such as the Holzkugelweg give the outing several small goals. The pure walking time does not yet allow for playing or resting.
- Can you barbecue along the way?
-
The region has designated barbecue spots, among them at Hög and Murmliwasser. Before your hike, check the usage notes, any reservations and current restrictions for the spot you have chosen.
- Are the lifts included?
-
The Super.Sommer.Card is included for DreiSonnen hotel guests in summer. For your outing, the region’s current services and operating times apply.
