Playgrounds in Serfaus & village life

Staying outside a little longer.

Play at Platöll, experiment with water at the valley station or discover the Lichtblicke in the evening. In Serfaus, the next little outing begins right outside the hotel door.

It does not have to be up the mountain every day. From the DreiSonnen in the traffic-calmed village centre you set off to playgrounds and walks in Serfaus. During the day there is time for sand and water, in the evening for a short round together.

Platöll generations playground

Here everyone may be a child once more.

On the edge of the village, near the pine forest, lies the Platöll playground. Climbing frames and balancing areas invite children to try things out, and there are water stations too. Take time to watch or join in. If you want a walk afterwards, you can set off from here on the Serfauser Lichtblicke. So a visit to the playground and a short round go well together.

Water & sand play area

Water on, and hands in the sand.

Right at the Komperdellbahn valley station, water play and a large sand play area are waiting. Here children dig and try things out while the adults can sit nearby. The play area lies at the end of the Holzkugelweg, so it also works well as the end of a family hike. Plan your visit for the daytime and check the current opening hours.

For little riders.

Pump tracks and practice area at the Komperdell valley station: this is where children gain their first experience on the bike.

One more lap through the bends.

If you would rather be on two wheels, you will find pumptracks and a practice area for first riding experience at the Komperdell valley station. Small bumps and bends are a chance to get to know the bike better. The right track depends on ability. For guided riding technique practice, our bike page also shows you the way to the bike school.

Serfauser Lichtblicke in the evening

A short walk to round off the day.

Out once more after dinner: the Serfauser Lichtblicke suit a short round together. The easy themed trail begins at the Platöll playground and ends at the car park at the village entrance. For the roughly 630 metres, the region gives a walking time of about 20 minutes. With time to look around, it may well take longer. You will find the current trail status in the route description.

What can you do in Serfaus without the lifts?

The Platöll playground, the water and sand play area and the pump tracks at the Komperdell valley station are in the village. The Freibad Serfaus outdoor pool is also a destination without a lift ride. Please check the respective opening times.

What suits an evening with children?

The short loop on the Lichtblicke theme trail is one option for a walk together after dinner. Check the current trail status beforehand.

Where can we find barbecue spots for a family outing?

The regional barbecue spots lie outside the village centres. We present them on the Hiking & Themed Trails page, so you can fit them into a hike.
