Mountain bike & e-bike tours from Serfaus

These are the tours we recommend.

Three tours for different levels of experience: from a gentle outing with children to a demanding Bike & Hike. Before you set off, check the weather, whether the huts are open and the trail conditions.

  • Route sketch to the Schöngampalm, 1,870 m. Uphill from Serfaus via Fiss, Falterjöchl, Obladis, Neuegg and Urgtal, downhill via Rabuschl and Fiss back to Serfaus.
    Easy · Out with children

    Together to the Schöngampalm

    From the DreiSonnen you ride via Fiss and Rabuschl, on asphalt and gravel, to the Schöngampalm. A playground and a petting zoo are waiting there for the children. Perhaps there is even time to finish your coffee in peace. On this e-bike outing the break can easily run longer. If you are travelling with a children's trailer, agree on bike and trailer with the rental shop in advance.

  • Route sketch to the Schönjoch, 2,436 m. Uphill from Serfaus via Fiss, Möseralm, Steinegg and Wonnealm, downhill via Mittlerer Sattelkopf, Komperdell and Högsee back to Serfaus.

    Over the Schönjoch to the Högsee

    Via Fiss and Steinegg you ride up to the Schönjoch. The red Jochtrail (S2) leads to Komperdell, then the Högsee tempts you with a swim break. Have something to drink and let your gaze drift across the water before continuing downhill on the blue Högtrail (S1). We recommend this loop to guests with trail experience and good fitness for the self-powered climb.

  • Route sketch to the Hexenkopf, 3,035 m. Uphill from Serfaus via Komperdell, Cervosa Alm, Lazid and Arrezjoch to the Hexenseehütte, 2,586 m, from there on foot to the summit, downhill via Komperdell back to Serfaus.
    Difficult · Demanding Bike & Hike

    Hexenseehütte & Hexenkopf

    You ride the bike to the Hexenseehütte, and from there you continue on foot over the Hexenkopf. The way back follows the access road towards Komperdell, then the Leithetrail down to Serfaus. This tour is meant for sure-footed guests with a head for heights and alpine experience. The link shows only the bike approach. It is best to check in advance whether the hut is open and what the paths are like.

Bike school for children & adults

The first bend works out, and braking feels more secure. At the Bike School Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis, children and adults practise riding technique for their next outings. Those with some experience work on trickier sections. The children try something new, and the grown-ups learn along with them. Bike Park & Pumptracks in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis

One more lap on the pumptrack

One more time through the bend, one more lap after that. At the Komperdell valley station in Serfaus, pumptracks invite you to give it a go. At the bike park by the Waldbahn in Fiss there is a practice area and descents of varying difficulty. Choose the line that suits your experience. Helmets and protectors are also available from the regional rental shops, the right instruction at the bike school.

Bike room & bike wash area

After a ride the bike is allowed to be dusty. At the bike wash area you rinse off the traces of the day, and it stays in the locked bike room until the next tour. You can charge your e-bike with us free of charge at a socket with your own charger. So your bike is looked after too, while you are already looking forward to the next day of your holiday.

Good to know before you ride off.

Can I rent a bike and a children’s trailer in Serfaus?

Yes. Regional sports shops rent out mountain bikes, e-bikes and children’s trailers. At Patscheider in the Check In Bikecenter in Serfaus you can also get Thule trailers for one or two children. It is best to reserve the combination you want in advance, directly with the rental shop.

Can I charge my e-bike at DreiSonnen free of charge?

Yes. As a hotel guest you charge your e-bike free of charge at a socket. Please bring your own charger.

Does the hotel have a bike room and a bike wash area?

Yes. At DreiSonnen you keep your bike in the locked bike room. After your ride you can clean it at the bike wash area. Both are available to you as a hotel guest.

Is bike transport included with the Super.Sommer.Card?

As a hotel guest you receive the Super.Sommer.Card in summer at no extra charge. Bike transport on the lifts is not included, however. For rides with your bike and use of the bike park, check the appropriate bike tickets with the operator.

Which tour do you recommend for an outing with children?

For an e-bike outing with children, we recommend the route via Fiss and Rabuschl to the Schöngampalm, with its playground and petting zoo. Allow time for breaks and the ride back. Our recommendation takes a different route from the officially intermediate Schöngampalm circuit. If you ride with a children’s trailer, the rental shop will help you choose a suitable combination of bike and trailer.

Are bike courses and rental bikes included in the stay?

Bike courses, rental bikes and children’s trailers are booked and paid for directly with the regional providers. At DreiSonnen, the summer activity programme and the Super.Sommer.Card are included.
